5. Quality Control and Other Services

  • 5.1 What is the extent of your vehicle inspection?

    Quality Control Procedures are: Odometer Certification, Stolen Vehicle Checks, and Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA)
    Vehicles are the rated and classified according to our established Grading System.

  • 5.2 What does your grading system mean?

    We have specific grading systems for vehicle overall condition and vehicle interior condition.

    Condition Grading System:
    1. 5.0 Almost new to Brand new
    2. 4.5 Very good condition
    3. 4.0 Good condition to Above average
    4. 3.5 Average to Good condition
    5. 3.0 Below average condition
    6. 2.5 Poor condition
    7. 2.0 Very poor condition
    8. 1.0 Suspension, Engine, Transmission or Exhaust altered and modified beyond normal vehicle specifications
    9. 0 Vehicle has accident history
    Interior Grading System:
    1. A. Very Good Condition
    2. B. Good Condition
    3. C. Average Condition
    4. D. Below Average Condition

  • 5.3 Can you guarantee that the mileage of your vehicles is true and not tampered?

    All units purchased by ATUK undergo a mileage check by Odometer Inspection Services (OIS ) in Japan. All units will be issued an OIS certificate once it has passed the mileage check. An OIS Certificate will be issued to the customer upon completion of sale.

  • 5.4 Do you make sure that all vehicles leaving your yard have fully operational batteries?

    Yes, ATUK ensures that the existing battery has been inspected and is fully operational. In cases when the battery is found to be defective, ATUK can now supply and fit batteries. Costs will vary starting from £32.50 for small cars and up to £85 for larger 4x4 units.

  • 5.5 What is the claims policy of ATUK?

    ATUK claims are limited only to mechanical defects which were deliberately not disclosed in the vehicle checklist displayed in the Autoterminal.com website and any material disparities between the checklist and actual unit. The general wear and tear of vehicle parts and accessories, audio equipment and aftermarket parts is not subject to claims.

    Claims to the vehicle should be submitted to ATUK within a non-extendible period of seven days from date of release of the vehicle. All claims shall be subject to evaluation. If warranted, the vehicle will either be subject to repair or a refund shall be issued and the vehicle will be picked up. ATUK reserves the right to be able to repair the vehicle. No other extra costs, penalties or charges shall be attributable to ATUK as a result of the claim whether directly or indirectly.
